Zionsville Nature Center

Zionsville Nature Center located within Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library
Mission

The Zionsville Nature Center encourages Zionsville and Central Indiana families to take an active role in their native environment through educational and inquiry-based programs and activities.

The Zionsville Nature Center was founded in 2002 through the dedicated efforts of the Zionsville Parks Department and the Friends of Zion Nature Center. In 2021 the nature center moved from its previous location on Eagle Elementary School grounds to the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library. The Nature Center is located inside the Hoffman Room in the Youth Services Department.

Exhibits within the Nature Center focus on local Indiana habitats and wildlife. In addition to exhibits several educational animals are on display including turtles, snakes and amphibians.
