Join a Naturalist for a leisurely stroll at Overley-Worman while learning about the type of edible plants and how to identify them. After the hike, learn how to prepare some of these as we make a few delicious snacks, and get your own recipe book to try at home. Please call or email if you have any concerns with food. We will be using dairy in the snacks and will have crackers and pretzels to taste.

During our Toddler Treks we will meet at different Zionsville parks to play, explore, and watch the seasons change. Older siblings are welcome to attend, but activities will be geared towards ages 3 and under. Dress for the weather and be prepared to get moving! Starting in March, Toddler Trek will be for ages 3 years and under. For children ages 4 - 6 check out our new PEEPs program.

Adult learners will gain an understanding of Indiana's plants, waters, soils, wildlife, and other topics. The program provides a way for you to share knowledge, along with your life experiences, through volunteer services.  The program includes 24 hours of class time. To receive IMN certificate and pin, 24 hours of volunteering must be completed. 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM	Weed Wrangle - Weed Wrangle - Carpenter Nature Preserve Help Zionsville Parks remove invasive species from our natural areas! Weed Wrangle is a one-day volunteer effort to help rescue our public parks and green spaces from non-native invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful plants. Supervised by an expert in invasive weed management, volunteers learn, practice and begin a habit of maintaining an area free of non-native invasive plants that can then be replanted with natives. By engaging our neighbors and challenging them to take action in their own spaces, we hope to create a positive movement in our parks and neighboring areas. Check back as dates will be added throughout the year.
