Through a partnership with the Boone County Invasive Cooperative and Boone County Soil & Water Conservation District, eligible Boone County residents can receive FREE native trees and shrubs in replacement for invasive species you remove from your yard. The application deadline is September 19th.
Just follow these steps:
1) Take a picture of the invasive plant
2) Take a picture after you remove it. If you can, apply a stump killer with active ingredients like triclopyr or glyphosate to prevent regrowth
