Program Fee Statement
The Zionsville Board of Parks and Recreation is committed to providing an equitable park system that offers access to high-quality green spaces and programming for all residents. To sustain a wide range of recreational opportunities, the Department follows a cost recovery philosophy that bases fees on the balance between community benefit and individual benefit. This approach directs public investment toward services with broad community impact - such as parks, trails, playgrounds, and community events - while applying reasonable fees to programs and rentals that primarily serve individual participants.
All fees collected are reinvested into a dedicated account to fund staffing, supplies and equipment. By aligning public funding and user contributions, we ensure our parks and programs remain accessible, well-maintained, well-staffed, and of lasting value to the community.
