Jarod joined the Town of Zionsville Parks and Recreation Department as Superintendent in October 2020. A born and raised Hoosier, Jarod spent a decade working with various park systems around the country, wearing hats in park maintenance, programs, aquatic facilities, and events. Jarod’s passions include connecting residents to nature, removing barriers for participation, and providing innovative programs that connect our community. “As our town continues to grow, we too will expand our parkland, programs, and amenities to support the active lifestyles of our residents and build on the heritage of Zionsville, ‘a town within a park.’”

Mindy joined the Zionsville Parks in 2014 as the Park Naturalist - Nature Center Manager with over 20 years Environmental Education and Naturalist experience with park departments in Ohio and Indiana. She has a passion for connecting community to our local parks. Mindy has presented at various conferences and workshops regionally and nationally on the importance of nature play and exploration. She was promoted to the position of Director of Recreation Services in 2021. In her free time she is a avid gardener and native plant enthusiast.
